Jared Trout pitched very well, he went six innings of four hit ball. He didnt walk anyone and struck out five. He had a great game and didnt have any trouble in the game. Justin Crowder then came in for an inning and got through it.

Luke Appert hit two solo homers, now he is tied for the team lead at twelve. All three runs the Cougars scored were solo homers as Nick Rogers hit his second homer of the season.

The Cougars could've scored a few more runs. In the first inning Luis Perez led off with a walk. One out later David Castillo walked. Eddie Kim then grounded into an inning ending double play. In the second inning Vasili Spanos walked to lead things off, he then moved to second on a wild pitch. Dan Putnam then grounded to second, Spanos would move to third on the play. Kory Wayment popped out to right for the second out. Dustin Majewski grounded out to short to strand Spanos at third.

The fourth inning saw the Cougars almost score again. Spanos led off by being hit by a pitch. He moved to second on a wild pitch. Spanos tried to go to third on the wild pitch but would be thrown out. Putnam doubled down the right field line. Wayment then was caught looking for the second out. Majewski grounded out to second to end the inning. Second baseman Ryan Leahy made a nice play.

The Kernels scored their run in the eighth inning off of Jose Corchado. With one out, Tommy Duenas doubled to left. Quan Cosby then singled to center to score Duenas. Cosby stole both second and third. Leahy would be caught looking for the second out. Brandon Wood then popped out to second to end the inning. In the ninth the Kernels had a good chance to tie the game or win it. Bobby Wilson singled to center. Baltazar Lopez lined out to center. Matt Brown popped to short. Matt Pali walked. Runners on first and second with two outs. Blake Balkcom then lined out to right to end the inning.
