The Cougars would beat the Bees 8-5, but only because the Bees would come back and score three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Kane County went out to a 7-2 lead untill the ninth. In the first the Cougars would score two runs. Brian Ingram led off the game with a walk. One out later, Dustin Majewski singled to center. Eddie Kim then singled to center to load the bases. Dan Putnam would walk, which would force Ingram in for the first run of the game. David Castillo then hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Majewski. Kory Wayment walked to reload the bases. Chris Tritle struck out to end the season.

Burlington then scored a run in the third inning. With two outs, Brett Groves singled to third, then stole second. Castillo threw the ball into center, and Groves went to third. Brandon Powell would then triple to right to score Groves. Kenard Springer then grounded out to third to end the inning.

With one out in the fourth inning, Trilte walked, then stole second. Nick Rogers would then walk. Ingram tripled down the left field line to score both Tritle and Rogers. Appert then singled to right. Majewski would fly out to third to end the inning.

Kila Kaaihue singled to right with one out in the fourth. Luis Gonzalez then singled to short. Walter Sevilla walked to load the bases. Mike Gaffney hit a sacrifice fly to score Kaaihue. Jeff Barry struck out to end the inning.

Eddie Kim led off the fifth with a walk. Dan Putnam would single to left. The Bees then made a pitching change bringin in Dustty Dossett for Greg Atencio. Dossett then struck out Castillo looking. Wayment singled to left to load the bases. Tritle would strike out for the second out. Nick Rogers then walked to force in Kim with the fifth run for the Cougars.

Two more runs in the sixth would prove to be very helpfull for the Cougars later in the game. With one out, Majewski singled to left. Kim then followed with a single to right. Putnam would single to center to score Majewski. One out later, Wayment doubled to right to score Kim. Tritle then flied out to second to end the inning.

The final run for the Cougars came in the ninth. With two outs, Rogers singled to right, then stole second. Ingram singled to center to score Rogers.

The Bees would come back for three runs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out Kaaihue doubled to left. Gonzalez was hit by a pitch. Sevilla then doubled to left to score Kaaihue and Gonzalez. The Cougars then made a pitching change. They brought in Justin Crowder to replace Dan Fyvie. Gaffney singled to center. Barry then hit a sacrifice fly to score Sevilla to bring the Bees within three runs. Crodwer got Groves to ground into a force out to end the game.
