The Cougars put it all together for the first time in a long time, pitching, hitting and defense. It all lead to them getting a 4-1 win over the Burlington Bees.

The Cougars used two, two run innings and thats all that they needed. The pitching was great, and the defense was ok. Trent Peterson pitched his best game of the year. He went six shutout innings, and gave up only three hits. The Bees really never had a chance against him, as they only got a runner to second once.

Brigmer Leon then came on too pitch two innings, he gave up one hit. Justin Crowder then pitched the ninth and would give up the only run. Brandon Powell led off with a triple to right. Right fielder Chris Tritle dove for the ball and missed and it rolled to the wall. Chris Lubanski grounded out to second to score Powell.

The Cougars would score first in the second inning. Eddie Kim led off with a walk. Brian Snyder then doubled to left field to get Kim to third. Snyder was out in front and just got the ball over the left fielder. Dan Putnam then hit a fly to right. The right fielder droped the ball and Kim would score. Putnam ended up on second, with Snyder on third. David Castillo then grounded out to third. Kory Wayment walked to load the bases. Nick Rogers droped one into left field to score Snyder. Brian Ingram struck out, and Luke Apper would fly to right to end the inning.

The other runs came in the sixth inning. Trevor Brown led off with a single to left. Putnam then doubled to center. For some reason Cougar manager Dave Joppie held Brown at third. Because of being held up as he was rounding third, Brown fell down and just made it back to third. Castillo then flew out to left, Snyder would tag up and score. A wild pitch would score Putnam.
