The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers failed to see the error of their ways, committing six errors in a snow shortened game as the lost 9-4 to Cedar Rapids in a Midwest League baseball game Sunday at Fox Cities Stadium.

The TimberRattlers lost their third straight game, committing 16 errors during that stretch.

The snow started int he bottom of the first inning and continured untill the game was called with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Wisconsin got into trouble early when third baseman Dan Floyd committed two errors in the top of the first inning. Cedar Rapids scored three times and held that lead until the third inning, when the Rattlers put together four hits and a walk to lead 4-3.

In the fifth inning, the Kernels sent 12 batters to the plate and scored six runs on a combination of five singles and a pair of errors.

Wisconsin's Shin Soo Choo went three for three with a runs scored, and Cory Freeman went two for three with a run scored.

Rattlers pitcher Pat Barnes has been sent to Peoria (ARZ) to begin rehabilitation on his pitching shoulder and manager Gary Thurman said he dosen't know when to expect a replacement. Barnes complained of soreness in his arm after his last start, in which he gave up six earned runs in four innings. After missing his appointment to have an MRI in Appleton, Barnes was sent down to the rookie league, and the Rattlers are left with just 11 pitchers on their roster. Most of Wisconsin relievers have been stretched out because of poor outings by starters, so Thurman is hoping to welcome a new arm soon.
