The Michigan Battle Cats were held to one hit on Sunday as the West Michigan WhiteCaps posted a 6-1 win at Fifth Third Park.

The Battle Cats, who despite the loss, still lead the Midwest League's Eastern Division with a 12-5 record, scored a run in the first inning on a one out single by Fehlandt Lentini.

Lentini took second on a passed ball, moved to third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch.

West Michigan left hander Matt Coenen went the first eight innings. John Birtwell pitched the ninth.

Battle Cats starter Mike Burns (1-2) took the loss. He was also the losing pitcher in Michigan's other lowest hit game of the season, a two hitter in the season opener when West Michigan beat the Cats 2-0.

As a result of Lentini getting Michigan's lone hit, Cat second baseman Brooks Conrad had his 14 game hitting streak snapped.
