Peoria saw everything in the strike zone on Saturday evening as the Chiefs handed Lansing a 15-2 loss, marking the Lugnuts worst loss of the season.
The Chiefs got out to a 11-0 lead after five innings before the Lugnuts managed to put a pair on the board with a two run homer by Antoine Cameron in the sixth inning. Cameron's fifth home run of the season drove in outfielder J.J. Johnson who reached base with a walk.
"I wish it would have mattered but it didn't," Cameron said, "Everybody came out to watch us and we got smoked."
Cameron was the only Lugnut to register two hits on the night as the Lugnuts combined to reach base safely just six times.
Starter Felix Sanchez lost his third game of the season after pitching two innings and allowing nine hits, seven earned runs and a pair of walks. He remains winless for the season.
Lansing used a total of five pitcehrs on the night.
"There's not much to say," said Lugnut coach Julio Garcia, "We didn't give ourselves much of a chance tonight, especially with the guy they had on the mound."
Peoria pitcher Dan Haren improved to 6-2 with a six inning effort in which he allowed four hits, two runs and struck out eight.
The Chiefs set season highs with 19 hits and the 15 runs in front of 10,989 fans, Lansing's largest home crowd of the season.
