Can this team ever do anything the easy way, it seems that this team really enjoys putting their fans through close games even when the game shouldnt have been that close.

The Cougars scored two runs in four innings to seemingly run away with the game. The only reason they would run away with the win is because of the walk, and an error in the ninth.

The Wizards would score first against Jared Trout. Trout lasted five innings, giving up five hits and three runs. In the second inning with one out, Chris Miller walked. One out later, Baudillio Figueroa guessed right on the first pitch he saw, for his first homer and hit of the season. The Wizards would add one more run in the third inning, Drew Macias led off with a walk. George Kottaras then singled to right, Macias would get to third. Fernando Valenzuela Jr. then flew out to center, Macias would tag up and score.

Kane County broke through in the third inning with two runs, with one out. Luke Appert doubled to left. Dan Putnam then triple to right to score Appert. One out later Vasili Spanos would single to left to score Putnam. Spanos would later be called out while trying to steal second. He was safe.

More fun for the Cougars in the sixth when they scored twice more. Eddie Kim led off with a solo homer down the right field line. Spanos would follow with a single to center, he then would be called safe while trying to steal second. Two outs later, Kory Wayment blooped one down the right field line that avoided the Wizards and fell for a hit. Spanos would score.

With one out in the seventh inning, Appert would walk. Putnam then doubled to left. The Wizards would then make a pitching change, Henry Perez came in and replaced Chuck Bechtel.Eddie Kim then took the first pitch he saw into left field. Appert would tag up and score. Spanos then hit one off of the glove of the third baseman for a single to score Putnam.

Two more runs in the eighth inning for the Cougars. Trevor Brown led off with a single to right. Nick Rogers came in to run for him. Wayment grounded out to short, Rogers went to second. One out later, Roger would steal third. Brian Ingram beat out a grounder to the short stop, Rogers would score on the play. Appert hit one off the top of the right field wall for a triple to score Ingram. Putnam walked. The Wizards then brought in a new pitcher, who got Kim to pop out to third to end the inning.

The ninth inning would not be fun for Cougar fans. Peter Cifrone led it off with a single to right. Figueroa would reach on a error by Appert. It wouldve be a force play at second but Appert droped the ball. Brian Wahlbrink then reached on a fielder's choice, with Figueroa being out at second. Macias walked which loaded the bases. The Cougars then made a pitching change and brought in Huston Street to replace Jose Corchado. Street struck out Kottaras for the second out. Valenzuela then single to right to score Cifrone. Brett Bonechio would walk, to force in Wahlbrink. Street then got Jordan Pickens to strike out to end the game. Street earned his first proffesional save

The Cougars had a chance to score with the bases loaded in the first inning. Ingram led off by reaching on an error by the short stop. Appert then walked. One out later, Kim hit one off of the first basemans glove for another error, this one loaded the bases. Spanos would ground into an inning ending double play.

Notes-The Cougars made a roster move today as Brigmer Leon was placed on the disabled list. Mike McGirr was brought back up fro Vancouver.

More Notes-The infield drag in the middle of the game, was the YMCA drag as the four of them did some sort of version of the dance after they rounded third base. The sweatheart of the game was Sam Drews, congrats.
