Steve Bondurant and Eddie Kim combined to get the Cougars to thirty games over the five hundred mark. We still have the best record in all of pr ball.

Bondurant looked very good, he got his 14th win of the season to bring him to one game away from tieing for the franchise lead in all time wins for a single season with Victor Hurtado at 15. Steve had a perfect game going untill the fourth with two outs. After that he retired the next ten he faced. Striking out seven and not walking anyone.

Eddie Kim had a great game and looks to be brining his stroke around. Three out of the four times he came up he hit the ball real hard. Two of those times he got hits, and the other was right at the right fielder. One of those hits was a two run homer, and the other a two run double.

Manny Rodriguez did a great job out of the bullpen. The Cougars look to have brought his arm angel down to almost sidearm, or just above. It really worked He gave up one hit, which was a liner off of his leg. Besides that he got four grounders and two pop ups.

Luis Perez also had a good night as he had two run scoring singles to center. Dustin Majewski got on base three out of the four times he came up. He would score twice, and steal a base.

Things started off very well for the Cougars as they put up two runs in the first inning. With one out Luke Appert hit a double to left. One out later, Kim hit a homer to left. In the third inning they would score twice more. Brian Ingram took a four pitch walk. Luke Appert then followed with a five pitch walk. One out later Kim hit a double off the centerfield wall to score both runs. Vasili Spanos would single to center. Kim would be out at the plate, but punished the catcher while doing so.

Majewski led off the fourth with a single to center, he then stole second. Kory Wayment grounded to short, on the play Majewski went to third. Luis Perez would ground one to third. He would throw home to try to get Majewski. Dustin ran over the catcher and this time the ball popped loose and he would be safe. Ingram singled to center. Appert then struck out to end the inning.

With one out in the sixth inning Majewski walked. Wayment grounded out to the pitcher, moving Majewski to second. Perez then singeld up the middle to bring home Majewski. The final run for the Cougars came in the eighth inning. With one out Dan Putnam walked. Majewski then grounded one to first. The Wizards tried to go first baseman to pitcher covering first. The throw went over the pitcher and everyone was safe. A wild pitch would move Putnam up to third. Wayment then struck out lookiing for the second out. Perez again singled to center this time to score Putnam. Ingram then walked to load the bases with two outs. Appert would ground to short to end the inning.

The defense played a big part in this game. Putam, Majewski and Wayment all made fantastic catches out in the outfield. Majewski's was one of those highlight real ones, where they leave there feet. Wayments was near the right field wall, and might've taken away a homer from Fernando Valenzuela Jr.
