Three homers, and seven runs would help the Cougars to a 7-2 win over Burlington. Brad Knox pitched six innings for the win. The bullpen pitched shutout ball.

The Bees would score first as they scored in the first inning.Brett Groves led off with a single to right. Walter Sevilla then singled to left. Two outs later, Kila Kaaihue singled to second, on the play Groves would score. The Cougars would tie the game on a Eddie Kim bomb to right field to lead off the second inning.

Luke Appert would continue his hot hitting in the second with a single to center. Kim then singled to center. David Castillo would double to left to score Appert. With one out in the bottom of the fourth the Bees tied the game again. Kenard Springer tripled to left. Kevin Reinking then grounded out to second to score Springer.

After a single to leadoff the fifth the Bees would not get another hit or reach base against Brad Knox, Dan Fyvie or Jose Corchado. In that time the Cougars struck out six Bees.

Meanwhile the Cougars would keep on scoring runs. Chris Tritle led off the fifth with a walk, then stole second. Two outs later Luke Appert would hit another homer. Dan Putnam leadoff the sixth inning with a homer to left for his second of the year.

The last two runs came in the eighth for the Cougars with one out. Putnam singled to right. Kory Wayment then doubled to right to score Putnam. One out later Chris Tritle singled to center to score Wayment.
