The Cougars woke up, at least for an inning. In that inning they scored six runs. Besides that inning the Cougars had two runners in scoring position in the rest of the game and they would not score either of them.

Brad Knox did not pitch his best game but he pitched well enough to get the win. The inning before he was taken out is the inning they scored six runs. I wont say he pitched badley because he had one walk and twelve strikeouts. That one walk scored, and another run scored on a wild pitch.

The first two inning Knox was wild. Josh Womack led off with a single that the second baseman Luke Appert got to but Knox forgot to cover first. Nick Orlandos then lined out to center. Adam Jones would then struck out. Bryan LaHair then singled to center, Womack went to third on the play. Chris Collins would then single to right to score Womack. Jeremy Dutton then struck out to end the inning.

Michael Cox singled to right to lead off the second inning. One out later, Michael Nesbit bunted Cox over to second. Josh Womack would then reach on a droped third strike, wild pitch. Catcher David Castillo couldn't find the ball, and that would let Cox score from second and Womack go to second on the wild pitch. Orlandos then followed with a double to right to score Womack.

Luis Perez hit a one out solo homer in the third inning for the Cougars first run. The Cougars would go down on strikes in the fourth. Castillo, Dan Putnam and Kory Wayment all struck out.

The big inning was the sixth when the Cougars would score six runs. Perez led it off with a single to left, then stole second. Appert was then called out on strikes. The Rattlers then made a pitching change. Eddie Kim then grounded out to first, Perez moved to second. Castillo would then single to center to score Perez. Putnam singled to center. Wayment would reach on a droped third strike, wild pitch. On the play Castillo would score. Dustin Majewski then tripled to center to score both Putnam and Wayment. Nick Rogers then singled to the pitcher, the ball bounced over the pitcher. Majewski scored. Rogers would steal second and get to third on a wild pitch. Ingram singled to right to score Rogers. The Rattler made another pitching change. Perez would line out to center to end the inning.

In the fifth inning Knox hit Womack to lead things off. Womack then stole second. Orlandos would be called out on strikes for the first out. Adam Jones then struck out. Bryan Lahair grounded out to second to end the inning.

Chris Collins walked to lead off the sixth. Dutton then singled to right. Cox would then be caught looking. Blakeley singled to center to score Collins.

Both team would make it interesting in the ninth inning. With one out, Perez walked. Appert followed with a single to right. Kim then struck out. Castillo was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Putnam would line out to left to end the inning.

Huston Street came in for the ninth for the save, he was spectacular but effective. Blakeley led off with a single to right. Nesbit then singled to center to get Blakeley, Nesbit would get to second on indiffrence. That ment runners on second and third with one out, the tying run was up to the plate. Womack would then pop out to second, one more to go. Orlandos was caught looking to end the game.

The Cougars were by no way good on offense today as they had one inning were they did something with runners on. They had six runners on base in the game, besides in the sixth inning. Of those six, four of them died on first, and none of them scored.
