The Cougars got hammered today 16-6 to the Beloit Snappers. This game wasnt for the week at heart, and since im still kinda pissed about it heres the rundown of the scoring.

Guilder Rodriguez led off the first inning with a single to left, he then stole second. Hernen Iribarren struck out. Drew Anderson would then single to right to score Rodriguez.

Belive it or not the Cougars would then score five runs in the third inning to take a four run lead. With one out, David Castillo hit a liner onto the deck in left field. Vasili Spanos would then walked, then steal second. Brian Snyder then hit one over the scoreboard in left field. The Snappers then brought in a new pitcher. He would walk, Dustin Majewski, Trevor Brown, Dan Putnam, Kory Wayment and Brian Ingram. Which brought in two runs with out a swing of the bat.

Sadly that wouldnt be enough to lead the Cougars to victory. The Snappers scored three runs in the fourth. Lou Palmasiano singled to center. Grant Richardson doubled to left. Adam Heether reached on an infield single to third. On the play he wouldve been out but Eddie Kim pulled his foot of the bag to soon. Palamasiano would score. Steve Moss then singled to left, to load the bases. I dont know why Richardson didnt score on the play, maybe he was day dreaming or something. The Cougars then made a pitching change to bring in Jason Windsor to replace Jared Trout. Windsor struck out Terry Trofholz. Strike three would get away from the catcher Castillo and allow Richardson to score. Rodriguez then grounded out to second, Heether would score on that play.

It got ugly in the sixth inning when the Snappers scored eight runs. With one out, Trofholz reached on a error by pitcher Brigmer Leon. Rodriguez singled to left. Iribarren then singled to center. Trofholz would come home on a wild pitch. Anderson flew out to center, on the play Rodriguez tagged up an would score. Rottino singled to center to score Iribarren. Palmasiano singled to center. Richardson singled to left to score Rottino. The Cougars then brought in J.R. Pickens, Heether greated him with a double to left to score Palmasinao. Moss would walk. Trofholz came up again and this time hit a triple to center to score the final three runs.

In the seventh an error lead to another run for the Snappers. Iribarren led things off with a double to right. Anderson moved him over with a ground out to short. Rottino reached on an error by the shortstop. Iribarren scored ont he play. Plamasinao was then hit by a pitch. Richardson and Heether struck out to end the inning.

Three more runs for the Snappers int he eighth inning. With one out Trofholz singled to left. Rodriguez was hit by a pitch. Iribarren then doubled to left to score Trofholz. Anderson singled to third to score Rodriguez. Rottino singled to left to score Iribarren. Palmasiano then singled to right. Richardson and Heether flew out to end the ininng.

The Cougars were held with only one hit after the third inning. That one hit was a solo homer with two outs in the ninth inning by Brian Snyder.
