Cedar Rapids, Iowa-The South Bend Silver Hawks resorted to some late inning heroics to keep their winning streak intact Wednesday night.

Augie Murillo's two run double sparked a four run eighth innin outburst, helping South Bend rally for a 6-3 victory over the Cedar Rapids Kernels in Midwest League baseball action.

Trailing 3-2, the Hawks used four hits, a walk and a hit batter to push across four runs and post their sixth straight win.

Alex Frazier provided the game tying RBI single in the eighth, while Emilio Bonifacio drove in an insurance tally with his hit into left field.

South Bend right hander Danny Muegge (12-4), allowed three runs on eight hits with three strikeouts over seven innings.

Dustin Glant pitched the final inning to notch his fourth save.

Bonifacio paced the Hawks with three hits and two RBIs.
